"My husband and I stopped here to celebrate his birthday. We were greeted by a very sweet man named Bob, who is such a great guy. Our car died and we came back in to allow time for our portable jumper to charge. He was very nice and his enthusiasm was infectious. He told us that we have family in Lead, so come back soon and often. They really made us feel loved and welcome."

"Such a charming and historic place to have dinner, or just go to the classic western bar for drinks! The owner, Bob, is super friendly, including the servers and bartender. The menu is great, as everything we’ve been served has been perfect. I’d have to say it’s the best place to eat in Lead. Make it a point while in the area to visit the Stampmill Inn."

"Jessica, our server, was wonderful! Attentive but not overly so, kind & friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really cool! I had the chicken tomato pesto sandwich & tomato basil soup. it was fabulous. The chicken was hot & so juicy. Delicious sun dried tomatoes and fresh spinach. If you're ever in Lead, SD DONT hesitate to look for this special place. You'll be so happy that you did!!"

"We ate at the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, our server was attentive and fast. The owner was really personable, told us about some of the building history, answered our questions, and went out of the way to make it a special visit."

"Best chef in the northern hills! Service, Food and atmosphere is top shelf. Friendly staff and hands on owner who enjoys talking to customers and making sure everything is perfect. Great dessert menu! Awesome outdoor patio and some new additions coming next year. Highly recommend, it's our go-to restaurant!"

"Jessica was a amazing server! She made the experience! I can't talk about the rooms because I never went up there. And that's why I give it 4 stars because you have to climb stairs all the way up. Yes, the building is old and yes, the building has lots of stories to go with it. However, the food was great. The service was better. I wish my burger came with lettuce tomatoes sauces, but it didn't.But Jessica wouldn't got..."
